Safe in the Light

Sarah Chastain is still trying to adjust to her husband's death when rich, handsome businessman John Sadillo makes himself an unwanted part of her life. When the police and FBI want Sarah to play nice with Sadillo, Sarah wants no part of it--until she learns Sadillo was responsible for James's death. She agrees to get closer to him until she witnesses Sadillo murder two men. This prompts the FBI to give Sarah a new identity and change of location until she can testify at Sadillo's trial. Sarah quickly finds herself on an isolated island off the coast of Maine as the new lighthouse keeper. She is amazed to realize she really likes the light, the island, and the good people of Muckamilly. But Sarah -- now known as Phoebe Winters -- becomes suspicious that she may not be as secure as the authorities believe. There is the young deputy who visits the island regularly asking about visitors. Then the disgruntled heir who vows he will do anything to get money -- including turning in a missing person which Sadillo has advertised her to be. Also disconcerting is the handsome widower who frequently slips and calls her by real name. And finally there is the charming pharmacist who also happens to be a MAFIA buff. Suddenly Sarah's feeling of safety and security on the island she loves is shatterd with the appearance of John Sadillo. Who betrayed her and how can she escape the same fate of others who have crossed the smooth talking brutal mobster? Will her island haven now become her scene of death Sarah won't give up until the last breath leaves her cold murdered body.
