Written by bestselling author Martin Smith and his seven-year-old daughter Emily, it is a festive story about hope, being brave, never giving up and ... lots of poop.

Martin has cystic fibrosis and wrote the bestselling Charlie Fry Series after retiring from work due to a deterioration in his condition.

Emily has always wanted to write a book with her dad - and came up with the characters and plot herself. All Martin did was transform the wonderful ideas into a story for primary school children to be able to enjoy.

Why The Christmas Poop Plan?

The book was originally called The Christmas Miracle - except that had already been taken.

We had the same problem with The Christmas Angel.

Yet the book is centred around the elves' dastardly plan to ruin Christmas through poop - so The Christmas Poop Plan seemed the logical choice!
