Life became too much. Too hard. Too abusive. Too lonely. I was broken. One September night in 2001, I took a good long look in the mirror, and examined the person I had become. I thought about the person I once wanted to be in life and, like glass, I shattered into a million pieces. What I found on the other side of my brokenness, however, was life.
