It has been acknowledgedthat the applications of ArticulatedSteer vehicles (ASVs) result in some problems, such as rollover,jackknifing and snaking. In this book, for a typical ASV, acomprehensive study of the causes of the snaking, and of theeffects of the vehicle parameters and operating conditions on thestability is presented. Furthermore, to stabilize the vehicleduring its most critical driving conditions, some studies aredirected towards designing different types of active stabilitycontrol systems.
