Kompletní popis

This updated and expanded second edition of an Artech bestseller covers several key radar analysis areas, including the radar range equations, detection theory, ambiguity functions, waveforms, antennas, active arrays, receivers, signal processors, constant false alarm rate (CFAR), and chaff analysis. The book also looks at the tools radar engineers commonly use to perform signal processor and clutter analyses.

Readers learn how to perform radar range equation and detection analyses, RCS modeling, ambiguity function generation, and antenna pattern generation. Detailed analyses of coherent and noncoherent integration, design, and analysis of analog and digital receivers and signal processors, stretch processor implementation, and SAR signal processor implementation are presented.

Readers find insight into basic STAP implementation and analysis, as well as SLC design and implementation. This second edition also includes new chapters on CFAR theory and processing and active electronically scanned (steered) array (AESA) theory and implementation.

Mervin C. Budge, Jr. is the chief scientist at Dynetics, Inc. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama, Huntsville, where he teaches courses in radar, signal processing, and Kalman filters. He earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University.

Shawn R. German is a senior principal engineer at Dynetics. His areas of expertise include simulation and modeling, phased arrays, radar receivers, advanced signal processing, and detection theory. He received his M.S. and B.S. in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University.

"This book is a must have for anyone working with radar hardware, designing radars or radar subsystems, or needing to understand radar theory. This book provides the technical theory behind radar detection, receiver/signal processing, and special processing techniques to mitigate clutter and/or jamming. The authors have done an excellent job conveying the mathematical theory behind these radar techniques in a clear, understandable way."

John D. Jennings, Senior Radar Analyst, U.S. Department of Defense

"The first edition of Basic Radar Analysis quickly established itself as a must-have radar reference for both novice and advanced radar engineers. It is my go-to reference for my radar design and analysis. The second edition covers even more radar topics to include CFAR detection, AESA basics, and digital pulsed Doppler processing. Also, many of the discussions from the first edition are expanded and enhanced to include Stretch processing and NLFM waveform discussions."

Alan Volz, Sr. Engineer, Dynetics Inc.
