The planet Criole. A planet where monsters roam the land, spawned of the evil in men's hearts and an ether of Magick that runs through the earth, sky and inhabitants. Humans live out their lives as governments bicker and squabble over petty differences and selfish drives for the lust of conquest. Into the midst of all of this chaos steps Marcus Endman, sought out by the young paladin Yoloka Mito. In searching for him Yoloka will discover the truth of those she serves and learn what true loyalty is. Marcus, a broken man steeped in darkness, must open his eyes to who he is, where he came from and his duty not only to Criole but to all of creation. As they and their friends are drawn into a desperate struggle against a corrupt emperor they start to unearth the truth of the planet they live upon and that maybe there is more to the current conflict than even the emperor knows. As the black fire stirs, one phrase echoes throughout the darkness: HE IS COMING AND HE WON'T STOP
