Urdština
Mahender Nath is one of the active fiction writer and novelists of the progressive age of Urdu, whose ten fiction collections and fourteen (14) novels are a significant part of Urdu literature. His second biggest introduction is that he is the younger brother of popular and well-known Urdu writer Krishan Chander. Mahender Nath's fictions show the process by which the man of the scientific society comes to the industrialized society by disintegrating or breaking down and loses all his traditions and values by grinding in the mechanical indifference and economic mill of this society. This collection "Chaae ki Pyaali (Cup of Tea)" contains selected short stories of Mahender Nath.

مہندرناتھ کا شمار اردو کے ترقی پسند دور کے فعال افسانہ و ناول نگاروں میں ہوتا ہے جن کے دس افسانوی مجموعے اور چودہ (14) ناول اردو ادب کا نمایاں حصہ ہیں۔ ان کا دوسرا سب سے بڑا تعارف یہ ہے کہ وہ مقبول و معروف ادیب کرشن چندر کے چھوٹے بھائی ہیں۔ مہندرناتھ کے افسانے اس عمل کو دکھاتے ہیں جس سے سائنسی سماج کا آدمی بکھر کر یا ٹوٹ کر صنعتی سماج میں آتا ہے اور اس سماج کی مشینی بےحسی اور معاشی چکی میں پِس کر اپنی ساری روایتیں اور قدریں گنوا بیٹھتا ہے۔ یہ مجموعہ "چائے کی پیالی" مہندرناتھ کے چند منتخب افسانوں پر مشتمل ہے۔
