Everything Laerdya has known has been obliterated. She is a shell of herself, a shell of the female she once was. Only one thing burns within her frozen heart: revenge. Determined for vengeance against the male who took everything from her, she must make her way across a world fracturing at the seams, to hunt down the reason for her pain.
Rathrain finally has everything he has ever wanted: the Haell, Edhelraen at his beck and call, and all his obstacles removed to rule over all of Edhelraen. And yet, nothing is the same. Despite his newfound power and position, he cannot stop thinking of the purple-haired Ice Queen who somehow still controls his heart-even though he killed her. When she shows up determined to finish what he started, he cannot quite believe his luck.
But this time, he is not the only one holding the strings. Something strange is rising beneath the fractured foundations of Edhelraen, something with the power to end the entire world. Laerdya and Rathrain must find a way to work together to ensure that the world they both love so dearly does not end at their hands.
