In Unit 2: Short Vowels, students strengthen their understanding of the short vowel sounds a, e, i, o, and u through engaging, hands-on phonics games and activities. As they read, build, sort, and match CVC words, children develop phonemic awareness, decoding, spelling, and reading fluency in a fun and interactive way. This unit includes games, picture cards, letter tiles, practice pages, an assessment, parent practice, and teacher support to reinforce essential early reading skills both at school and at home.
