Does Theology stump you?

Does the word itself give you memories of moth ball smells, with a musty, squeezed-in-a-box feeling? Are you trying to live as a 21st-century Christian without feeling weird? Would you love to see your black, white, and grey existence bloom into vibrant color--full of refreshing, spiritual depth and joy?

GROUNDWORK was written for you!

GROUNDWORK makes theology accessible, equipping you to live boldly for Jesus-solo or, better yet, in community where koinonia sparks growth. Ideal for teens, college students, seekers, and lifelong believers, each lesson guides reading, reflection, and discussion to help you walk daily with God (Psalm 119:105), and discover your calling.

"I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen. When you come looking for me, you'll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed." -Jeremiah 29:11-13 (MSG)

He's waiting with out-stretched arms. Come join us!

From age twelve, Nan Carver's life has been a walk of faith and joyful service. She and her husband Bill, married for 58 years, raised three boys (Will, Wes and Casey) and now cherish eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In her younger adult life, her heart for evangelism grew through nine years at a crisis pregnancy center and gleaning from many Bible studies. Her focus on teaching and soul winning started there.

Along with Bill, Nan co-founded The Oaks Christian School in South Carolina, where she served as Dean of Students, and created and directed their beloved biennial musical productions for nine years. Later, at Grace Christian School in North Carolina, she was Dean of Elementary Students, taught Bible, and created and directed their biennial musical productions, as she deepened her ministry roots.

From this work grew GROUNDWORK, a discipleship course and now her first book. GROUNDWORK TEACHER'S GUIDE is set for release in 2027. Creative, compassionate, and faithful, Nan continues listening for God's leading.
