In 2020, we find that Artificial Intelligence is connecting the dots of everything from cars to mobile sensors in static buildings, healthcare, finance, and the human brain. Machines are wired using a cross-disciplinary approach based on algorithms, artificial intelligence, mathematics, computer science, linguistics, psychology, and more. New software and digital transformation will create interactive experiences for new interfaces such as voice, computer vision, and augmented reality. How data drives the outcome to be found in applications like self-driving cars or in hospitals in which the algorithms are serviced as customer outcomes will be left behind. Unable to pivot in our fast-paced disrupt-or-be-disrupted environment, wearable hospitals try to use biometrics in order to monitor our health and track our activities. As we continue to fly between cities, airports use facial recognition to speed up security checks. These advances in fields such as robotics and AI computing, synthetic biology, 3D printing, smart homes, Machine Languages, Deep Technologies, medicine, health, and nanomaterials are making it possible to achieve to the smallest of teams.
