Despite the separation of large parts of its historical territory over time, its current geography remains the custodian of nearly all its rich historical, cultural, and civilizational heritage.
Alongside its remarkable literary, artistic, and cultural wealth, Iran, with approximately one percent of the world's population and one percent of the world's landmass, is a land abundant in natural resources, energy, and minerals, ranking fifth globally in total resources.
