Loosely based on an old family legend, Lost Treasures takes readers to Berlitt in the former Communist occupied East Germany. Growing up, Tammy Rose's father told her an intriguing story about her great-grandfather, Pein. A well-respected member of the community and head of the local bank, Pein allegedly buried gold coins worth millions of dollars beneath his pig barn shortly before the Russians invaded his small community. The plot is told from her father, Hans's perspective through his life in Germany, his time spent in refugee camps, and his struggle to make it here to America.
