Kompletní popis

Mind The Modus Operandi...recollects the accounts of mining of bauxite by Anil Aggrawal led Vedanta Group in Lanjigarh,Odisha, and iron ore mining by Reddy Brothers in Bellary,Karnataka. It sketches the worst orchestration of collusion of mining barons with State instruments, choreographed to unleash best for themselves and worst for the ecological structures, and anthropology of the people especially tribals (also called Adivasi in India). Their gymnastics with laws is conspicuously drawn here. Where ever mining is done, it throws huge ecological and social costs that are difficult to contain. Still mining should continue but in a sustainable manner. Governments believe in 'Parachuted development'. Does India needs it? India is a transitional society moving from the old feudal character to knit for itself an industrialised fabric. It will take time. Therefore, any attempt to force west influenced development model would be thwarted by the people because India needs regular form of development that guarantees livelihood to people without promising ecological insecurity. Development if not contiguous then continuous be...is the philosophical colour that development needs in India.
