This book is designed to introduce the fundamentals of optimization problems (that are often nonconvex), arising under the framework of resource allocation in wireless networks, to engineers, scientists, and applied mathematicians. The level of the presentation should be accessible to senior undergraduate and first-year graduate students, and should prove especially well suited as a self-study guide for practicing professionals and researchers. The primary motivation of this text is to make a significant contribution towards convexification of inherently nonconvex resource allocation problems.
