In the current climate, the competitiveness of companies has become a sine qua non condition for remaining in the market. In addition, competitiveness no longer depends on the company on its own, but is now the result of the competitiveness of the entire value chain in which the company operates. In this context, the National Productive Chaining Programme has emerged in Brazil, which aims, among other things, to develop the value chain of companies in order to increase the competitiveness of small, medium and large businesses. The National Productive Chaining Programme operates in five strategic areas, one of which is the focus on organisational networks. By strengthening the links and interactions between the members of a value chain, this focus helps to develop the programme's other strategic focuses. It therefore has a unique importance in the entire production chain process. Even with such importance, networks still fall short of the development potential they can generate. This book therefore analyses existing organisational networks and provides references to help and guide their development based on identified good practices.
