This book is considered as a Training Material for Students or Trainees in Operations Research. The primary emphasis will be on Linear Programming and its Variants and Applications.Other areas such as Network Models, Dynamic Programming,and Decision Analysis will also be covered.Analytic Techniques and Computer Package(WinQSB)will be used to solve problems facing Organizational Managers in decision environments.Section 1 introduces a very short description of Operations Research(Quantitative Techniques,or Decision Modeling).It also introduces the classification of many real-world problems that are candidates for the solution by the Methods of Operations Research(Quantitative Techniques,or Decision Modeling).Section 2 concentrates on the LP Modeling with the real-world application specially in Production Planning, Blending,Scheduling,Transportation.. In Section 3,Network Modeling with applications are considered.Section IV is devoted to the Dynamic Programming Techniques.Section V in concerned with the Game Theory and its Application.At last,WinQSB (Quantitative Software for Business-for Prof Yih-Long Chang from University of Texas at Austin)play the key role of Tutorial Software.
