Kompletní popis

One of the hottest topics in the philosophy of science in recent years is scientific structuralism, which is a label used to describe a variety of views that share an emphasis on the importance of the structural aspects of our scientific theories. Scientific structuralism is an approach that focuses on the relations described in a scientific theory, rather than its ontology. It includes, but is not limited to, the view known as structural realism, which holds that all we can know about the world is its structural features, and that it is only these structural features that our scientific theories successfully describe. In response to structural realism, other scientific structuralists, such as Bas van Fraassen, have developed an antirealist view known as structural empiricism.
