"For 31 years I was privileged and very proud to get out of bed in the morning and put on the uniform of the United States Navy," says Robert P. Smyth. We are there as he serves many years on aircraft carriers, chases Russian submarines above the Arctic Circle, goes around Cape Horn, commands a Navy aircraft squadron in the Mediterranean and a Navy survey ship off Vietnam.
