Reflecting on the struggles of Lyn's spiritual, emotional and mental growth during this time, "Seasons" also highlights her physical experiences pleasant, painful and otherwise. Although deeply personal, "Seasons" acknowledges the universal process of healing. Thorough recovery from a traumatic event is not automatic. Rather the progressive change to wellness happens in stages. The healing process of any injury to mind, body or soul is often painful, but always necessary and beneficial. A chronicle presented in the form of literal seasons, "Seasons" shows that every different weather and climate, welcome or not, has its purpose. In the natural order of things, there is always a period of regrowth that follows one of devastation.
