L'ouvrage présenté ici a pour but de faire connaître la philosophie de Simone Weil, ainsi que les différentes facettes de son personnage, si lié à l'œuvre elle-même. Les différents contributeurs auxquels nous avons fait appel sont tous des spécialistes de la philosophe, de plusieurs nationalités, et les plus éminents y figurent. Les responsables des " Cahiers Simone Weil " y sont naturellement bien représentés. Les aspects divers de la pensée de Simone Weil ont été ordonnés de façon à commencer par le cœur –; la philosophie –; pour aller ensuite à la morale puis à la politique et à l'histoire, et enfin à l'approfondissement religieux et mystique. Les derniers chapitres insistent sur quelques perspectives plus particulières. Nous espérons ainsi offrir au lecteur un aperçu à la fois riche et pluriel de celle qui fut l'une des grandes philosophes du XXe siècle français. [Chantal Delsol] -- The aim of this book is to present Simone Weil's philosophy and to make it better known, as well as the different facets of her character, so closely linked to her work. The authors, of different nationalities, who were invited to make contributions are all specialists of the philosopher's work, among them the most eminent. Those in charge of 'Cahiers Simone Weil' are naturally well represented. The various aspects of Simone Weil's thoughts have been organized in such a way as to begin with the heart of her work –; philosophy –; moving on to morals, then politics and history. Lastly, the religious and mystical developments are treated. The final chapters focus on a few more specific perspectives. We hope to offer the reader a rich and varied vision of the woman who was one of the 20th century's greatest French philosophers. [Chantal Delsol]
