In When Time Is at a Premium, Windy Dryden, one of the key experts in the field of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), shows how it is possible to work very briefly with people in both a therapy and coaching context. Part 1 describes a form of single-session therapy developed by Windy Dryden and which he calls 'Single-Session Integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy' (SSI-CBT), a four point of contact model that falls within the definition of Single-Session Therapy developed by Moshe Talmon, one of the pioneers in this field. In Part 2, Professor Dryden describes a form of very brief coaching that he has also developed and which he calls 'Very Brief Cognitive Behavioural Coaching' (VBCBC)which can range from one to three sessions. About the author Windy Dryden is Emeritus Professor of Psychotherapeutic Studies at Goldsmiths University of London and is in part-time independent practice.
