This book will not offer another definition of composition or writing. It is the position of this study that writing is writing. This book, rather, seeks to offer a phenomenological perspective on how the teaching of composition should be approached by presenting phenomenological rhetoric as a paradigm that allows for the inclusion of many, seemingly, contradictory approaches to writing.
